Walks/dog walks

There is a footpath directly from the site to our local pub, The Badger, this can be a circular walk via canal and farm tracks.

If you have brought your dog, then Delamere Forest is a short drive away, or head over to Bickerton and up to Rawhead, you can usually let the dogs off - as long as they come back!

If you want a day without your 4 legged friends, there is a doggie daycare centre nearby as well.

Pubs & Restaurants

There is a nearby pub called The Badger, which is a short walk or drive away, serving beautiful seasonal foods and dishes. We also benefit from Other local pubs including The Coach, Verdin Arm and the Royal Oak at Worleston.

You can also grab breakfast and lunch from a cafe inside our nearby garden centre, Minshulls.

We also have a very smart hotel in Worleston, called Rookery Hall Hotel and Spa.

Activities

For all you Golf lovers, Cheshire boasts a magnitude of stunning golf courses, including Wychwood Park which is widely regarded as one of the premier inland courses in the north of England as well as driving ranges in Worleston and in Sandbach.

For thrill-seekers and other fun days out, Alton Towers amusement park is an hour’s drive away, as well as other attractions such as Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium.

Crewe is another local town, which is undergoing a major renovation, but it does have the best swimming pool and fitness centre. You can find other good swimming pools in neighbouring towns, Winsford and Sandbach.

Crewe also holds a brand new Tenpin Bowling and arcade and is conveniently next door to an Odeon Cinema.

Towns

Nantwich is our local town, and well worth a visit. We also operate a cheese stall on the indoor market, which is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Campers get a 10% discount!

Farther afield is the historic City of Chester, including many fantastic shops and eateries, as well as a lovely park and the infamous Chester walls, with lots of pubs en route. There is a very famous pub called The Albion, you will love it or hate it, either way, it is unique!

The cathedral is a must to see, sometimes there are various events on.

The Grosvenor hotel is a fantastic hotel right in the centre of the city and for the racing fans amongst you, Chester is also home to a super racecourse.
